mo’time was orginally a project of Tipic Inc., a company located in New York City. Tipic develops open standards, network independent communications platforms. Focused on security, scalability and usability, Tipic's products allow customers to reduce development, administration and training costs eliminating the risk of lock-in into closed protocol solutions. Tipic's slogan is: "More than instant messaging", from which the acronym mo’time derives. Tipic's core range of products consists of open protocol (XMPP/Jabber-compliant) instant messaging products and Content Management Applications: client, server and development platforms. Tipic was founded by Marco Palombi and has developed the most widely used blogging platform in Italy, Splinder.com, which is also the largest blogging community in Europe.
